Who we are

Secil is a business group operating in the areas of cement, ready-mixed concrete, aggregates, mortars, prefabricated concrete and hydraulic lime. The group also includes operations in complementary areas such as environmental protection and the use of waste as an energy source.
About Secil

Secil Cement BV, the company that owns the terminal in the Netherlands, sells two types of cement in the Benelux and Northern France - CEM I 42,5R and CEM I 52, R (nl). The latter was produced and developed specifically to meet the demanding market requirements in that northern region of Europe.

All commercially available cements are certified by Dutch, Belgian and French accreditation bodies, namely by KOMO, BENOR and AFNOR, respectively, and are subject to strict and permanent quality control procedures, all the way from production to their placing on the market.  

By adopting the best practices and technologies available in the market, the company ensures a high-quality standard in all its actions.

  • Secil in Europe

    As part of its strategy of seeking out markets to complement the Portuguese market and increase its volume of exports to northern Europe, Secil has invested in a marine terminal located at the Port of Terneuzen in southern Netherlands, near the Belgian border. With this facility, Secil can provide easier access to customers in the Netherlands, Belgium and northern France.

The maritime terminal of the Port of Terneuzen in Southern Netherlands, near the Belgian border, has a 24/7 automatic dispatch system, allowing great flexibility and added value for all its customers.

All equipment is provided with various environmental control systems for filling storage, and tank extraction and loading.
